A new project since the closure of the Birch Hills Hospital was introduced to the community on November 5, 1995. The Birch Hills Medical Center was opened adjacent to the Birchview Nursing Home in order for improved integration of programs. The hours of operation for the public are 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; 5 days per week.
In addition to the construction of a new health center, other programs have been introduced such as the Maternal Discharge Support Program, increased home care services, single-entry point, and a Health Help Line.
Other services provided are:

- Lab/X-ray Technician (part-time)
- Physician services (4 hours/day)
- Chiropractic Services (1 afternoon per week)
- Receptionist
- Health Fairs and Wellness Programs
- Clinics
- Day Care ("Day Program")
