Skate Park

Birch Hills Skate Park

In 2010 a group of youth and parents partnered with Birch Hills Community Church to look at the possibility of building a Multi-functional Skatepark. Many hands and a whole load of support has turned two years of dreaming into reality!

Located on BHC Church property on the South West corner of Birch Hills, as well as maintained by church volunteers, this concrete Skatepark was designed by our youth to provide a safe, permanent, multi-functional recreation area for our community, tailored to be user friendly for all age and skill levels. Loaner skateboards for beginners wishing to try the sport are available to borrow free of charge from the Youth Center as well as Unicycles and helmets.

In 2015, a full size basketball court was completed.  Enabling the community to use the court itself for basketball as well as street hockey and pickleball by request.

This property also hosts a Community Garden with twenty good-sized plots that are available at the beginning of the gardening season.

Tuesday evenings during the summer come and stretch out by the campfire, visit, and roast a Hot-Dog at our “Tube Steak Tuesdays” weekly event from 5:30-7:00pm.

Campfires are to be held only with permission from Church office @ 306-749-2478.
