Optimist Mission: By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in kids.

Optimist International is an association of more than 2,600 Optimist Clubs around the world dedicated to “Bringing Out the Best in Kids.” Adult volunteers join Optimist Clubs to conduct positive service projects in their communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth. With their upbeat attitude, Optimist Club members help empower young people to be the best that they can be.

Each Optimist Club determines the needs of the young people in its community and conducts programs to meet those needs. Every year, Optimists conduct 65,000 service projects and serve well over six million young people.

New members always welcome. For information on what being a optimist is please visit www.optimist.org Stuart Matice 306-314-2378

The Knitting Grannies are at it again!  This year they are making items for charity in addition to the comfort shawls.  Join them at 1:00 pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month in the Seniors’ Hall.  Contact  Marilyn at  749-2286 for more information.

We are the local snowmobile club in town and we host our annual snowmobile rally in February each year.  We would like to extend an invitation out to everyone to come out and join the fun and check out some of the prizes and silent auction items.

Keep an eye out for our posters around town with all the details!!  The snowmobile rally is our only fundraiser for the club.  Money is used to maintain the three local snowmobile shacks we have built up over the years.  These warm up shacks are welcome for anyone to use.  The club also makes donations to local organizations like the curling rink, civic center and fire dept.
